The Co-Operative Food Group

Following the acquisition of Somerfield by The Co-operative Group, we were engaged to assist with the integration of their supply chain and store systems. The strategy was to take the best of both businesses and deliver a single store environment, with common EPOS, store replenishment and back office applications, integrated the co-op’s existing central data and trading systems.  

As we were domain experts and principle supplier for Somerfield’s replenishment and Supply Chain systems, we were instrumental in defining the strategic solution and architecture.  We provided consultancy to both the Supply Chain and IT for an integrated central replenishment system and rebuilt some of the supporting applications. We also undertook a final quality review of solution in readiness for deployment.
